Two dead, 12 injured in road accident in Pepsicola

Two people died while 12 others were injured in a road accident at Pepsicola in Kathmandu at around 7:30 am on Sunday.
A man from Sarlahi and a female APF constable have been identified as the two deceased, said police.
A passenger bus heading to Pepsicola from Jadibuti lost control while trying to avoid collision with a motorbike swerving towards it from the opposite lane.

District Police Range, Kathmandu spokesperson Superintendent Kumod Dhungel informed that 12 people were injured in the accident.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad Bhatta, spokesperson at Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, the injured are undergoing treatment at various hospitals including Kathmandu Medical College in Sinamangal, Motherland Hospital in Pepsicola and AFP Hospital in Balambu.
Police have detained the bus driver, 24-year-old Janak Raut of Ramechhap, for further investigation.
