Nepal post 173-run target against Netherlands

Kushal Bhurtel completed a half-century as Nepal posted a 173-run target against the Netherlands in their last match of the Nepal tri-series of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 (2024-2027) at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, on Sunday.
Bhurtel hit 66 runs off 93 balls with eight hits to the fence in the match as other batters failed to impress.
Put to bat first after losing the toss, the Rhinos lost Aasif Sheikh at 17 runs in 8.3 overs. Anil Sah was bowled out for seven runs by Vivian Kingma in the last ball of the 10th over.
Kushal Malla was sent back to the pavilion at two runs by Aryan Dutt in the 12th over. Skipper Rohit Paudel scored 16 runs before losing his wicket in 24.3 overs. Dipendra Singh Airee was run out for one run as Bhim Sharki was out for a duck.
Aarif Sheikh (22) and Karan KC (26) helped the hosts to put 172 runs on the board in 49.3 overs losing all wickets.
Vvian Kingma and Aryan Dutt claimed an equal three wickets as Bas de Leede pocketed two wickets.
It's Nepal’s second encounter against the Netherlands in the series. Earlier on February 17, the hosts hammered the Netherlands by nine wickets.
