At least one person died after a jeep and an autorickshaw collided at Star Chok in Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City on Sunday. Six people were injured in the accident.

According to the police, the jeep heading to Rukum from Nepalgunj collided with the autorickshaw that was on its way to Tulsipur from Dokrena resulting in the casualty.

Area Police Office, Tulsipur informed that the deceased was a resident of Dokrena. He died while undergoing treatment at Tulsipur-based Rapti Provincial Hospital.

Meanwhile, autorickshaw driver Til Bahadur Karki, 57, of Golaura in Tulsipur-6 has sustained serious injuries and has been referred to Kohalpur Medical College in Banke for further treatment.

Police informed that the injured are being treated at Rapti Regional Hospital, Tulsipur.
