One dead, three missing in Dolakha landslide

Atleast one person died while three more went missing in a landslide in Gaurishankar Rural Municipality-8 of the Dolakha district.
A three-year-old child was killed while three locals went missing after the disaster swept away three houses early on Friday, said rural municipality chair Dawa Sherpa.
The victims have been identified as Topatar locals Krishna Magar, Dev Magar, and Harilal Shrestha.
Efforts to recover the body of the deceased and search for the missing are underway, Sherpa added.
More than 32 houses in the area dealt damage after a massive rainfall in Wards 7 and 8 of the rural municipality on Thursday night. Three people were injured in the disaster.
The incessant downpour also displaced 15 families and swept away two houses in Salle of Khare, Sherpa said.
“The landslide has caused damage to many houses in the area. The telephone lines are also unavailable.”
