Tiger mauls man to death in Chitwan

A 43-year-old man from Rapti Municipality-1 of Chitwan died after he was attacked by a tiger on Friday morning.
According to Man Bahadur Syangbo, chair of Lothar buffer zone forest user committee, the man was attacked at 9:45am by the tiger at Manahari Rural Municipality-6 of Makawanpur while collecting fodder.
Tiger attacks are frequent at Chitwan National Park and surrounding areas which is a major habitat of tigers in Nepal.
According to Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, information officer of Chitwan National Park, three people have died of tiger attacks in this fiscal year so far.
According to the latest tiger census, there were 335 tigers in Nepal and 128 in Chitwan National Park.
