The Border Security Company of the Armed Police Force, Parsa, seized shoes and cosmetic products worth more than Rs3.63 million smuggled into Nepal from India without paying customs duty on Tuesday.
According to Superintendent of Armed Police Kishan Karmacharya, the goods were smuggled in using 10 bicycles, and the Armed Police Force seized them from the Bhutandevi temple located at ward 16 of Birgunj Metropolitan City after getting an anonymous tip.
The seized goods have been handed over to the Birgunj Customs Office for investigation, said Karmacharya.
